I doubt there is anyway that you could accidently end up on one of these neighborhoods and even if you did, there would not be a problem.The most popular gondola rides are in the Naples area of Long Beach.
I believe there are gondolas in Huntington Harbor which is next to Sunset Beach. Its on PCH near HB is pretty much all nice.
It is in Central park too with all the trails. Population: 12,997.

Sunset Beach and Huntington Harbor are part of Huntington Beach. (magnolia and I have heard that the reason the crime is low is because there are hardly any offramps in HB and the ones that are on the borderline of another city.
