Some of the seed packets broke when we opened the box (they were attached to the tape at the top so it ripped). The woody part has a nice feel and the seeds are in a securely fastened, dark black plastic capsule on the eraser end.

Not much use out of them before they are ready yo plant & nothing grew. great idea haven't tried it yet I am waiting until the spring I am only rating it a 3 because I need to use them and plant them to assess the final quality.it may be awhile as there still lots of snow on the ground but I have great expectations of the results! Place it on a saucer and fill with good potting soil.Plant the pencil at an angle and not too deep. The wood used comes from fully sustainable forests.
