Like the post says retroarch (1.7.5) now runs SUPER slow on my pc. There are differing opinions everywhere on how to get this software to run. So I’m wondering if there are any certain video drivers or other settings that I should use for this core while it’s still in it’s infancy.Right now I run on GL_Core, I’m using 640x480 resolution, and It’s so slow I can’t even get to the game menu.The other question I have is about the BIOS. even psx2 and cemu.New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast/r/RetroArch is a subreddit dedicated to RetroArch and the libretro API framework. N64 is perfectly smooth and playable in project64, but barely getting double digit framerates with the muppen64plus core in retroarch. does not require any BIOS for you to dump, it uses its own HLE (High Level Emulation) BIOS.

I will stick with standalone versions for now.Latest versions of Retroarch sync to the display refresh rate, so you may want to check that your monitor or TV display is using a refresh rate of at least 60hz (50hz if you are playing PAL games).Surely it can be disabled somewhere if you need to.Make sure your power management profile is set to "max performance".Also check in your video driver that you create a high performance Profile for RApower management on 1.7.5 are listed as "no settings found".There are so many settings and options and configs combos that I have no idea where to turn, what docs to read, or how to even start testing.

Its worked in the past (like a year ago when i tried it) on the same game. Now go load a backup image file with it. It enables you to run classic games on a wide range of computers and consoles through its slick graphical interface.
If i run them through the native emulator (like mGBA that i also have in retroarch), it's silky smooth.Im on an alienware alpha 1, with SSD, Geforce 840, and an i7.
