The Strokkur, another famous geyser located nearby, gives a performance every few minutes, shooting a tower of water and steam 30 meters into the air. The only part of the stay that showed any uncertainty was in the restaurant during dinner service where some of the staff seemed a little green. Room was stunning with huge comfortable bed. At other times, you can enjoy the sight of the Geysir spouting. Very nice breakfast and super restaurant. Even at the end you have to queue to pay your bill or charge to your room.
I overheard the front desk personnel responding to a special request and they handled it beautifully. Recently rebuilt with fabulous architectural design and great materials.

If you visit late September to March take advantage of the Northern Lights wake up call. We stayed here for only one night during a little road trip.

Room are very well appointed and very spacious. Thankyou Litli Geysir for an evening we won't forget!The best hotel we stayed in iceland. Also there is a golf course, fishing, hiking trails, outdoor paradise the Haukadalur woods, Langjokull glacier tours and other activities such as highland tours. The breakfast was spectacular with an abundance of choices, both cold and hot. Check in was a bit clumsy but not too bad. Breakfast buffet was adequate although the fried eggs could have been warmer.
