I managed to put a support under the cable input into the base to keep it green and charging. After trying out several mirrors,this is the only one that I found to be worthy to put on my makeup table. Worth every penny.. No filter is needed when you use the natural light setting for selfies or makeup applications.
Please try again. Lights have stopped working.. I’ve used the mirror once and it won’t even charge now. Failed to get answers. Will this die out in a few years and require replacement or is this more of an investment piece? I will have to investigate further. Now, as for as, the mirror exposing my face with harmful rays, I'm not sure.
I add a plastic hair clip to the sensor area to keep it on constantly because the on/off gets a bit annoying.

For this price this should never have happened. Not only do you have enough light for your makeup, you have a super large "nightlight" so you can see what's around you. Both the RIKI SKINNY and RIKI TALL have Bluetooth technology. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she LOVES it!

It will not take a full charge.
I purchased it only 7 months ago.
It looked like someone returned it before me.
It won't hold a charge and has to be plugged in to work, and even then it flashes, like there's a short in the cord or something. There has to be a way to replace the battery but not sure how. Not only do you have enough light for your makeup, you have a super large "nightlight" so you can see what's around you. I very rarely use the lights, because it is so bright, it hurts my eyes. However, within two weeks of owning this, the charger cord stopped working entirely. For 195.00 this mirror should not be defective. It is light and portable for travel, for use in those hotels where the light is not adequate for makeup application. Do NOT purchase.

It does offer a few things that the Riki Mirror does not such as speakers to stream audio and a USB device charger. When I purchased this product, I just wanted a magnifying mirror with lighting and no cord to do my makeup.
