While Allman Brother's fans will be well satisfied with the band's take on "Melissa", in true Jaimoe style, the album features mainly original tunes, mostly penned under the deft hand of self-taught musician extraordinaire Junior Mack, who also delivers electrifying guitar and lead vocal performances throughout the album. Jaimoe is an original member of the Allman Brothers Band. (And try to catch the band live for an unforgettable experience! ) Mack's prowress as a writer and performer is equally matched in compositions and musicianship of the other band members, including Bruce Katz's "Hippology" and the playful, lilting jazz tune "Points of Friendship" by Reggie Pittman, which includes solos by nearly all of the band members, along with Pittman's own gorgeous Flugelhorn parts.
