I only saw one or two picnic tables though, so not sure it's a place most can have a picnic during the summer, unless I'm unaware of other areas. Out of all the parks in the area there just does not seem to be much here that makes it worth going out of your way for. Has amazing views and the river is peaceful. Great hiking trail that is more scenic than heavy duty hiking for those of us who like a leisurely hike.
Little pricy but I'd say worth it. Outside of that there's a small field, some antique furnace thing, and if you cross a bridge there's a trail on the cliff side that follows the river, but it's densely forested so the views are lacking. Then we explored around the bend where the river flows into a shallow flow. This park has it all!This park is fantastic!
